Our Batch Ovens are used in variety of applications across a range of industries including: primary metals, fabricated metal production, industrial and commercial machinery, transportation equipment, furniture and fixtures, wood products, rubber and plastic production, as well as stone, clay and concrete products.

Rapid Engineering has one of the broadest ranges of Industrial Batch Ovens offered on the market today. We offer two types of Batch Ovens - Gas Direct Fired and Electric. These options allow us to configure the Batch Ovens to meet your specifications. 


Gas Batch Ovens

The Gas Batch Ovens easily set up for either natural gas or propane and come in a variety of custom sizes to meet our customer's specific needs. They have variable heat settings up to 500 degrees and can reach temperatures in 30 minutes or less.

Electric Batch Ovens

The Electric Batch Ovens utilize electric heater elements, which can be beneficial in cost and easy to operate especially in areas where gas may not be available or convenient. They are capable of operating at 450 degrees and come in three standard sizes.


Applications

Both of these Batch Oven types can be used in a variety of applications, including:

  • Preheating - Prepare various metals, plastics, wood, medium density fiberboard or other substrates for the coating or adhesive process.
  • Drying - Help eliminate water or moisture accumulated during the pre-treatment washing process.
  • Curing - Help elevate the part and coating temperature to achieve the desired coating cure characteristics.
  • Low Temperature Stress Relieving - Used to reduce internal residual stresses in a metal object by heating the object to a suitable temperature and holding at the temperature for a proper amount of time.
  • Out Gassing - Used to slowly release gas that was trapped, frozen or absorbed in some material.

Our ovens feature heavy duty door sets allowing for multiple batches to be dried or cured all at once at temperatures of up to 500 degrees. They also feature 6-inch oven panel construction and industrial duty controls.

They are designed and built to meet various industry standards and offer the following control features: FM insurance-approved controls, burner and high temperature limit controls and UL-listed electrical control panels.

Need an odd size?

Rapid Engineering has you covered. While we do offer standard sizes, we can also design and build a Batch Oven (gas fired only) to your custom size stipulations. Electric ovens only come in three standard sizes.
