Electric Batch Ovens

Electric Batch Oven

Specifically designed for a variety of finishing applications such as industrial components and parts, furniture, metal and wood products, Rapid Engineering's line of small and compact Electric Batch Ovens utilize electric heater elements, which can be beneficial in cost and easy to operate especially in areas where gas may not be available or convenient.

They come in three standard sizes - Model 444 (width x height x depth), Model 464, and Model 468. When installed, used and maintained properly, Rapid Engineering's smaller, more affordable Electric Batch Ovens have great operational dependency and offer better oven balance, cleanliness and space usage from their unique duct design.

Applications

Capable of operating at 450 degrees, these ovens can be used can be used in several applications, including:

  • Preheating - Prepare various metals, plastics, wood, medium density fiberboard or other substrates for the coating or adhesive process.
  • Drying - Help eliminate water or moisture accumulated during the pre-treatment washing process.
  • Curing - Help elevate the part and coating temperature to achieve the desired coating cure characteristics.
  • Low Temperature Stress Relieving - Used to reduce internal residual stresses in a metal object by heating the object to a suitable temperature and holding at the temperature for a proper amount of time.
  • Out Gassing - Used to slowly release gas that was trapped, frozen or absorbed in some material.

They are constructed of 4-inch thick, 14 gauge wall and roof panels with 4 pound mineral wool insulation in between and are comprised of a painted, cold-rolled steel exterior and an aluminized steel interior.

Heated by electricity, these ovens utilize a bank of durable, electric heating elements and recirculated air to heat products efficiently inside the oven enclosure. The ovens do not require large amounts of electricity to operate and are available in three different heat outputs (15, 30 and 60 kWh), as well as two different airflows (2400 or 4800 CFM).

Rapid Engineering's Electric Batch Ovens are designed and built to meet various industry standards and offer the following control features: FM insurance-approved controls, burner and high temperature limit controls.

Factory-assembled and tested, our standard electric batch ovens are available in two styles for easy access: a walk-in, floor mounted design; or a bench-type model. With electrical elements and exhaust blowers on the roof, these ovens take up less floor space. They are a smaller and affordable option for batch ovens, but are not customizable.
